5 May 2026 18:30 PM BSTEA Sports has locked in a release date for UFC 6. The game drops on June 19, 2026, and if you want early access, the Ultimate Edition will run you $99.99 and gets you in seven days ahead of the standard launch.
Two cover athletes this time around. Alex Pereira fronts the Standard Edition, while Max Holloway gets the Ultimate Edition cover. Pereira, never one to hold back, had this to say about the honour:
"Representing Brazil on the cover of UFC 6 means everything to me. This is for the fans who believed in me from the very beginning. EA Sports made my fighter look as powerful as the real thing and nailed my lefthook. The fans will get the true Poatan. Chama."
Bold words from Poatan. And honestly, fair enough.
EA is billing this one as the "most realistic and authentic fighting experience" the franchise has delivered. New ragdoll physics are a headlining addition, and the studio says fighters will look, move, and fight with a sense of individuality rather than feeling like reskinned versions of each other. That's been a gripe with the series for a while, so this is worth keeping an eye on.
The game keeps its M-rating, which the series first earned with UFC 5. That entry overhauled the damage system to the point where the content tipped past a T-rating threshold, and it paid off. The brutality felt earned rather than gratuitous, and it gave the game a sense of weight that earlier entries sometimes lacked.
New Modes Worth Knowing About
UFC 6 is adding two single-player modes: Hall of Legends and The Legacy.
Hall of Legends lets you step into the stories of iconic UFC fighters and experience their careers firsthand. The Legacy is more of a traditional career mode, building your fighter up from complete obscurity to the top of the sport. Both modes sound like they address something the series has needed for a while; the single-player experience has always felt like an afterthought compared to the online side of things.
A Franchise That's Found Its Footing
EA's history with combat sports goes back further than most people remember. Fight Night was the gold standard for boxing games for years, genuinely thrilling stuff. When THQ collapsed and the UFC licence became available, EA moved quickly, and the series has steadily grown since.
The release cadence has stretched out over time, now sitting at roughly three years between entries. That's not necessarily a bad thing. UFC 5 scored a 9 from IGN, which tells you the extra development time isn't being wasted.
Whether UFC 6 keeps that standard up or raises it, we'll find out on June 19.
