Two brand partnerships are heading to World of Warcraft, and they're not what anyone expected. Blizzard has announced collaborations with both Pinterest and Zillow, both centred around the game's Housing system. Yes, Zillow. The property listing website.

Each partnership brings something different to the table. Players get external website integration, new in-game activities, and collectible rewards tied to both collabs. The specifics of what each platform offers are still being detailed, but the core idea is clear: WoW's Housing system is big enough now that real-world brands want a piece of it.

And honestly? That tracks.

Since Housing entered early access in Patch 11.2.7, it's taken off in a way few expected. Thousands of decor pieces, a genuinely user-friendly build interface, and deep customisation options have made it one of the most talked-about additions to the game in years. Players are spending serious time in their homes, and Blizzard clearly sees that as an opportunity.

World of Warcraft: Midnight is already set to bring a wave of new systems to the MMORPG, and Housing was always going to be a big part of that. More improvements are confirmed to be in the works beyond what launched in 11.2.7, so these partnerships feel like Blizzard leaning into the momentum rather than scrambling to find relevance for an underused feature.

The Pinterest angle makes a lot of sense when you think about it. Home decoration, mood boards, aesthetic inspiration. The overlap between WoW players who obsess over their in-game interiors and people who spend an afternoon pinning living room layouts is probably larger than either company wants to admit publicly.

Zillow is the weirder one, and probably the more entertaining. A real estate platform partnering with a fantasy MMORPG to help players decorate virtual homes is a sentence that would've sounded absurd three years ago. Now it's a press release.

Details on the full reward sets and how the external site integrations actually work in practice are still coming. Keep an eye out for more as Blizzard rolls out the specifics.
