Black Ops 7 Thanksgiving Double XP Event Starts Today Across All Game Modes

Treyarch has launched a Thanksgiving Double XP weekend for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, starting today and running through the holiday weekend to help players maximize their progression across all game modes.

The event kicked off at 10 AM PT on Tuesday, November 26, 2025, and will run until 10 AM PT on Monday, December 2, giving players nearly a full week of accelerated progression. The event features both Double XP and Double Weapon XP, along with Double GobbleGum earn rates for Zombies players.

When Does Double XP Start in Your Time Zone?

| Time Zone | Start Time (Nov 26) | |-----------|---------------------| | PT (Pacific) | 10:00 AM | | MT (Mountain) | 11:00 AM | | CT (Central) | 12:00 PM (Noon) | | ET (Eastern) | 1:00 PM | | GMT (UK) | 6:00 PM | | CET (Central Europe) | 7:00 PM | | IST (India) | 11:30 PM |

Event Details and What's Included

The Double XP event is active across all of Black Ops 7's game modes, including Multiplayer, Zombies, the Co-Op Campaign, and the newly unlocked Endgame mode. This means players can earn accelerated progression regardless of their preferred playstyle.

During the event, players will earn double the standard experience points for both player rank and weapon levels, effectively cutting the time required to progress through prestige levels and unlock attachments in half. The event also includes increased GobbleGum earn rates specifically for Zombies mode players.

Notably, players will not be able to stack their own Double XP tokens during the event period, as Activision prevents this approach to maintain balance. However, the event provides a perfect opportunity for players who have been saving their tokens to grind without consuming their reserves.

End Time Confirmed

According to the in-game countdown timer and official sources, the Double XP event will officially end on Monday, December 2, 2025, at 10 AM PT (1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT). This gives players a full six days to take advantage of the boosted progression rates.

Strategic Timing for the Holiday Weekend

The timing of the event is ideal for players in the United States celebrating Thanksgiving, as many will have extended time off from work or school during the four-day holiday weekend. The event runs from Tuesday through Monday, covering the entire Thanksgiving break and extending into the following weekend.

The event comes at a crucial time for Black Ops 7, which has faced criticism since its November 14 launch for disappointing sales figures, technical issues, and player count problems. The Double XP event provides an incentive for players to return or dive deeper into the grind ahead of Season 1, which launches on December 4.

Best Ways to Maximize XP Gains

Players looking to maximize their progression during the event have several efficient farming methods available. In Zombies mode, Survival maps are particularly effective for XP grinding, especially when using items like the Rampage Inducer to spawn additional enemies in the compact map layouts.

Another highly efficient method is farming in the Endgame mode on the Avalon map. In the Tier 3 difficulty region north of the Resorts POI, Fear enemies (zombie-like mobs) spawn constantly, allowing players to rack up kills for continuous XP. However, players should be cautious as dying will result in losing Combat Rating.

For players who participated in promotional events or purchased certain bundles, now is the perfect time to activate any accumulated XP tokens after the event ends to maintain momentum heading into Season 1.

With nearly a full week of Double XP available, Black Ops 7 players have an excellent opportunity to push through prestige levels, unlock weapons and attachments, and prepare for the game's first major content season arriving just days after the event concludes.
