HBO Harry Potter Reboot Reveals Full Hogwarts Student Cast Across All Four Houses

14 March 2026 15:00 PMHBO's Harry Potter reboot is filling out fast. The network just confirmed 21 new cast members across all four Hogwarts houses, and the roster is shaping up to be seriously impressive.
The announcements dropped via the official HBO Max Instagram account, with each house getting its own image showing the new actors in their character's house colours. It's a nice touch, and honestly, a smart way to build anticipation ahead of the 2027 premiere.
Gryffindor
Joining the Golden Trio of Dominic McLaughlin (Harry Potter), Alastair Stout (Ron Weasley), and Arabella Stanton (Hermione Granger) are five newly confirmed Gryffindors. Orson Matthews takes on Oliver Wood, the Quidditch team captain who whips Harry into shape in year one. Asha Soetan plays Angelina Johnson, Eire Farrell steps in as Katie Bell, Serrana Su-Ling Bliss takes Alicia Spinnet, and Ethan Smith rounds things out as the iconic Quidditch commentator Lee Jordan.
These five join a Gryffindor house that was already shaping up well, with Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Tristan and Gabriel Harland as Fred and George Weasley, Elijah Oshin as Dean Thomas, and Ruari Spooner as Percy Weasley all previously confirmed.

Slytherin
Slytherin has the biggest confirmed student roster of the lot. Oliver Croft plays Marcus Flint, Eddison Burch is Miles Bletchley, James Dowell takes Lucian Bole, Cornelius Brandreth is Terence Higgs, Henry Medhurst plays Peregrine Derrick, D'Angelou Osei-Kissiedu is Graham Montague, and Dylan Heath rounds out the Quidditch players as Adrian Pucey. Laila Barwick also joins as Pansy Parkinson, Draco's ever-loyal sidekick.
They all slot in alongside the previously confirmed Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, with Finn Stephens as Crabbe and William Nash as Goyle making up the infamous trio. Given how central Slytherin is to the whole story, it makes sense HBO has stacked the house properly rather than leaving it thin.

Hufflepuff
Four new Hufflepuffs have been confirmed. India Moon plays Hannah Abbott, James Trevelyan Buckle takes on Justin Finch-Fletchley, Cian Eagle-Service is Ernie MacMillan, and Jazmyn Lewin steps in as Susan Bones. Hufflepuff tends to get overlooked, but for fans who know what's coming in later books, that house matters a lot more than it gets credit for.

Ravenclaw
Anjula Murali plays Padma Patil, Aaron Zhao takes Terry Boot, Scarlett Archer is Penelope Clearwater, and Eve Walls rounds things out as Lisa Turpin. Worth noting that Penelope Clearwater has a decent role in Chamber of Secrets as Percy's girlfriend, so her casting is one to watch.

It's worth remembering this show is a serious long-term project. Writing on season 2 has already started, with HBO making no secret of the fact they want to avoid long gaps between seasons. Seven books, seven seasons, and a cast that looks like it'll stick together for the better part of a decade. With production already underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden since summer 2025, and a premiere locked in for early 2027, the pieces are genuinely coming together.
