Six months before we'll probably get to actually buy it, details on what looks set to be the biggest LEGO Harry Potter set of 2026 have started trickling out. Reliable leaker UniBricks has shared new information on set 76473, now widely referred to as Hogwarts Castle: East Wing, and there's quite a bit to unpack.

The headliner? 2,164 pieces, a $249.99 price tag, and what sounds like the LEGO debut of Bloody Baron.

What We Know So Far

According to UniBricks, 76473 depicts the eastern section of Hogwarts, complete with the Viaduct Bridge connecting it to the courtyard. The courtyard itself won't be included, but the set is said to feature a small replica of the Chamber of Secrets, along with a brand-new Basilisk figure. That's notable, because the last Basilisk LEGO produced was part of 76389 Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets, a set that was retired in late 2024 after more than three years on shelves.

Bloody Baron is also reportedly included, presumably as a minifigure. If so, it would mark the character's first-ever appearance in LEGO form.

On pricing, $249.99 puts it just below the current largest modular Hogwarts piece, 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower, which launched in June 2025 at $259.99 for 2,135 pieces. The East Wing would actually include 29 more bricks for ten dollars less. Whether that's intentional or just how the numbers worked out, it's a decent deal relative to what's come before.

A European price of around 260 EUR has also been mentioned, and an August 1 launch window is being floated, though that date is sourced partly from a Polish retailer listing, so regional release differences are possible.

Part of a Bigger Summer Wave

76473 won't be arriving alone. At least six other Harry Potter-themed LEGO sets are rumoured to be launching alongside it , including 76471 Knockturn Alley Shops (788 pieces), 76474 Hogwarts Courtyard Plants, and 76475 Forbidden Forest: Expecto Patronum at $29.99 for 244 pieces. There's also reportedly a set featuring Norbert the Baby Dragon, and a Dobby the Free Elf build.

It's a fairly broad wave in terms of price range and subject matter, which has become standard practice for LEGO's Harry Potter summer drops.

Why This One Matters

The modular Hogwarts system has been building steadily since LEGO relaunched it in 2024. Each new section connects to the last, and the East Wing would slot in as another substantial addition for anyone who's been committed to the full castle build. At over 2,000 pieces, it sits firmly in the upper tier of what LEGO puts out for this theme, and a new Basilisk alone will get a decent chunk of collectors interested.

There's also some broader context worth keeping in mind. HBO's live-action Harry Potter television series is currently targeting an early 2027 release , and this summer wave would arrive roughly a year ahead of that. LEGO clearly has reasons to keep the franchise warm.

As always with leaks this far out, none of this is confirmed. UniBricks has a strong track record, but take the finer details with appropriate scepticism until LEGO makes an official announcement.
