LEGO drops the 77259 Audi Revolut F1 Team R26 Race Car on 1 March 2026. Right when Audi storms into Formula 1.

The timing? Perfect. Audi's taking over Kick Sauber and transforming into the Audi Revolut F1 Team for the 2026 season. LEGO's not sleeping on this one.

What You Get

215 pieces. One driver minifigure sporting Audi gear and a helmet. The usual Speed Champions treatment for ages 10 and up.

The car itself measures roughly 19 cm long. Smaller than previous F1 builds. There's a reason for that.

Price sits at £22.99, $27.99, or €27.99 depending where you shop. Standard Speed Champions pricing.

You'll find authentic sponsor logos, Pirelli-branded tyres, front wheel suspension, and a cockpit for your minifigure. Rear wing included. The works.

The 2026 Regulation Thing

Here's where things get interesting. Formula 1's rolling out massive regulation changes for 2026. Shorter cars. Narrower profiles. Simplified aerodynamics. Less drag.

LEGO's actually following through. Previous Speed Champions F1 cars stretched to 21-22 cm. This one clocks in at 19 cm.

The front and rear wings show noticeable updates. Simpler designs matching the real 2026 rules. The rear beam wing? Gone, just like on actual F1 cars next season.

Some fans noticed LEGO skipped their new 2025 F1 suspension element (part 6813). Looks like a backwards step at first. But the Audi R26's suspension mirrors 2024-era solutions, and LEGO matched that design choice.

Not lazy work. Deliberate accuracy.

Printed Parts Win

LEGO went heavy on printed elements instead of stickers. Curved pieces that normally get stickers? Printed.

Massive win for builders who hate applying tiny decals. Better for long-term display too. Stickers peel. Printing doesn't.

The driver minifigure helmet design stands out. Dual-moulded red visor earning praise from collectors. Expect to see it in custom builds beyond this set.

One Odd Design Choice

Those vertical Audi rings on the nose look strange. Fair criticism.

Most likely explanation? Timing. LEGO locks in designs months ahead. Early Audi concept art showed different branding placements. By the time Audi revealed the final R26 livery in Berlin, LEGO's moulds were already made.

Design freeze issue, not creative failure.

The Real-World Context

Audi's F1 entry marks their first proper Grand Prix campaign since Auto Union raced in the 1930s. They acquired Sauber Motorsport, added facilities in Germany and the UK, and partnered with fintech company Revolut as title sponsor.

Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto will pilot the R26. Hülkenberg brings over 250 Grand Prix starts worth of experience. Bortoleto won both FIA Formula 3 and Formula 2 championships in consecutive years during his rookie seasons.

The Australian Grand Prix in March kicks off their campaign. LEGO's set drops the same day teams hit the track for the new season.

Not Just Speed Champions

LEGO's also releasing 60493 F1 Display Truck with Audi F1 Race Car in the City line on 1 March. Younger builders get their Audi fix there.

Meanwhile, Speed Champions collectors face a different problem. Most F1 sets from March 2025 retire by end of 2026. Including this Audi set.

Short production run. Grab it while stocks last if you're building a collection.

Where to Buy

LEGO.com launches the set on 1 March 2026. Physical LEGO stores stock it the same day. Most toy retailers follow suit.

The LEGO Builder app supports the build with 3D rotation, zoom features, and progress tracking.

This marks LEGO's commitment to evolving Speed Champions alongside actual motorsport regulation changes. Not freezing the line in yesterday's designs.

Formula 1's heading into a new era. LEGO's coming along for the ride.
