WoW Players Grab Free Discord Backpack Before February 2 Deadline

World of Warcraft players have five days left to snag a free cosmetic backpack. The catch? You need Discord running while you play. Easy right?

The promotion ties into the Midnight pre-patch event that launched last week. Blizzard partnered with Discord to offer the Piping Hot Portable Bakery backpiece as a Quest reward.

Getting the cosmetic takes roughly 15 minutes. Open Discord on your desktop (mobile won't work), find the Quests tab in your sidebar or click the gift icon in the bottom-left corner. Accept the World of Warcraft Quest, launch the game, and play for 15 minutes. Done.

The quest runs until February 2. After completing the requirements, you'll receive a code to redeem on the Battle.net Code Redemption page.

This backpack sports blue and purple cloth with silver accents. If you missed the Trading Post version from November 2025, here's your second chance. That earlier version, the Ready-Warm Portable Bakery, featured black cloth with gold accents and cost 95 Trader's Tender.

The promotion comes at a good time for WoW players. The Midnight pre-patch dropped on January 20, bringing major class changes, the new Devourer Demon Hunter specialisation, and housing early access for expansion owners. The Twilight Ascension event started January 27, giving players mounts, pets, and catch-up gear to earn before the full expansion launches March 2.

Some players outside specific regions might not see the Quest appear. Discord Quests often have regional restrictions. Past WoW Discord promotions, like the Crown of the Violet Rose from December 2024, were initially US-only but codes worked globally once obtained.

If you're struggling to find the Quest tab, check you're running the desktop Discord client and not the browser version. The Quest typically appears in the second column, third row after clicking Direct Messages, though your layout might differ.

This marks another collaboration between Blizzard and Discord. Previous partnerships included the Parrlok pet for The War Within launch and the aforementioned Crown of the Violet Rose transmog. These quick promotions give players free cosmetics for minimal effort.

The backpack works as account-wide transmog once unlocked. Any character on your account gains access to the appearance, making this a decent reward for 15 minutes of your time.

With Midnight's full release approaching, now's a good moment to jump back into Azeroth. The pre-patch event offers catch-up gear and the Winds of Mysterious Fortune XP buff returned, perfect for levelling alts from 10-79.

Just remember: February 2 is your deadline. After that date, the Quest disappears and this particular bakery-themed backpack becomes unavailable through Discord.
